August, September, October

*August*

August was very busy with trips and firsts for our little Jack-Man. I made a trip out to visit Auntie Nora for a long weekend in Chicago (that was my 1st time to the windy city). It was fun, but fast trip, we did lots of walking which was good, because we did lots of eating too!

Looks like a construction site, but they were filming for the next Transformers movie. This was all made of styrofoam, it was so cool!

*Disneyland trip! We had been telling Jackson we were going to Disneyland for over 6 months now, and every other day-( literally) he has been asking about it and when we were going to see Winnie the Pooh, Mickey Mouse, Buzz and Woody, etc, etc. So this trip has been loooong awaited and Jack had more fun than we could have imagined! We went with Grandma Lynne and Papa Ron. Such a fun trip with family :)
Bob's Bog Boy- one of Lynne's favorite places, so we had to make an eat stop there.

One of the Wineries in Temecula- went for some wine tasting. Love me some red wine mmmm......

Had to go to the beach for a day. Got to go back to Newport Beach ahhhh, so beautiful and sunny :)

May, June and July

*May*
It was Ava's 2nd birthday and we celebrated with her at Imagination Avenue. The kids had so much fun playing in the little kid town, dressing up as bakers, dr's, community workers, etc.

*We decided to have a few people over to our house for the Suns playoff game.

*BIG MILESTONE--- We went to Arrowhead mall to see the kids club show with Tatum, Ryan and Connor, Molly, Riley and Evan. Afterwards we got some lunch with the Randall's and Gillam's in the food court. This was right around the time Jackson began to be in his big boy underwear all day, even when we went out! It was the same for Riley too. So That day he went potty in the little kids potty at the mall with Riley- (He was excited to go with her and show her his big boy underwear) I think this really helped, because after this is when he pretty much became potty trained!! He was 2 1/2, which from everything I've read about boys, he has done such a good job! A lot of times it can be 3 or after!! Yea big boy Jack!

*Diamondbacks game- Mommy, Daddy and Jack decided to go to a baseball game and went to see the Diamondbacks play. We also got to meet Baxter and take some pictures with him :)

*June*

We decided to do a little family stay-cation at The Pointe Hilton for Father's day and to get out of the heat. Brian and Kristen came to join us at the pool and hung out for a while. :)

*Since I am a teacher, I do get the summer months off, which have been the best thing ever the past couple summers since I am now a mommy! :) Having the extra time to spend quality time with my sweet boy is the greatest thing! You don't realize what you miss out on day to day, until you actually get to spend them together. We kept busy during the hot summer with swimming lessons twice a week, going to the library, play dates and other fun crafts indoors. It has been awesome to watch Jackson become such a better swimmer and more confident in the water.

*We decided to take Jackson on his first camping trip up past Payson for the weekend to Big Bear Lake. It was a lot of fun, but VERY windy and cold! We couldn't have a fire because of the wind, and there was still some snow on the ground in June! We hiked around, rented a boat ( since it was sooo windy, I crashed us into the rocks for a second- it was really the wind that blew us into the rocks) and went out on the lake, tried some fishing, roasted marshmallows and made s'mores and just had fun! We stayed the whole second day until around 6:00, but decided not to stay the 2nd night because it had gotten even windier and the night before was freeeezing, and the wind was shaking our tent sooo badly. We just decided to drive home that night to our own beds, since we did enjoy the wilderness for 2 whole days!

*July*

One of my long time best friends, Jenny Brewster married Terrence Snapp on July 17th!! Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Snapp!! We had lots of fun with all the wedding festivities- bridal shower, bachelorette party, rehearsal dinner, etc, etc. Fun Fun Fun!

*4th of July- Our good friends The Gillam's had a little 4th get-together. That is always fun when we get the kids together and just hang out. :) The kids are all at an age where they are playing together, interacting and entertaining themselves (for the most part)
